Exciting Changes to CareerCert in 2020 and How They Will Benefit You

In 2019, we saw a host of exciting changes at CareerCert—but that was only the beginning! We’re continually growing to help you be at your best in your career so that you can better protect and care for those in your communities. Here are some changes to look out for in 2020:

New courses that deepen your knowledge and skill.

As medical knowledge accelerates, we’re refining our course library to address important emerging issues and stay at the forefront of continuing education innovations. Some of these new topics include:

  • LGBTQ Awareness
  • Opioids and Narcan
  • CPAP/BiPAP
  • Domestic Preparedness
  • Resiliency
  • Instructor Best Practices
  • Community Paramedicine

In addition, we are expanding our fire content so we can better serve departments with both fire and EMS providers in one convenient place. A few coming courses include:

  • Fire Evolution
  • HAZMAT

Innovative education that improves outcomes.

At CareerCert, we are always looking at taking e-learning to the next level. Innovation, flexible learning styles, engaging content—all of these are essential to improving retention and helping you provide the best care possible. In 2020, we’ll be releasing scenario-based education so you can prepare for critical field situations in a protected environment. We’ll also be updating our self-paced courses to increase engagement and interaction so that no matter how many times you’ve recertified in the past, you can build your skill and learn something new.

Improved features to enhance your experience.

With every feature improvement, we’ll reach out to let you know about these new resources and how they benefit you. Some you can anticipate this next year include:

  • Notification options and reminders for live courses to ensure you don’t miss a class
  • Expanded external training options to make it easier for you to record and track drills, in-house training, and all forms of training in one place
  • Other platform improvements that save you time and simplify the CE management process

Refined fire department tools to help with ISO reporting.

In 2019, CareerCert launched our Fire Progress Report to help departments track compliance and department-specific requirements. This year, we will continue to refine these tools, allowing administrators to view progress toward ISO requirements. When your next ISO visit or audit rolls around, you can have the peace of mind of knowing everything is easily accessible in one place.

More resources and better service than ever before.

No one knows your needs like you do. In 2020 we will proactively reach out and set up regular business reviews with group administrators. We want to ensure we are meeting your needs, answering your questions, and helping you get the most from the platform.

In addition, this next year we will be releasing free webinars, articles, and videos from industry experts so you can deepen your level of learning and stay current on cutting-edge industry topics. You can view some of our recent articles here, and we’ll reach out as more content becomes available.

We’ll also be attending trade shows across the country. When we are in your area, we’ll reach out to set up times to meet in person and answer your questions. Our team feels like an extension of yours. Every opportunity to meet you or your team members is welcomed!

While we are excited about all these changes coming to CareerCert in 2020, we are most excited to see the ways you improve your careers and, most importantly, how that impacts those you serve.
