Connecticut continuing education units can be earned using CareerCert, as CareerCert is a CAPCE approved provider.
At the discretion of the EMS Instructor, elements of the recertification program of study may include distributive and/or alternative learning modules. In order for Instructors to recognize distributive learning, each module must have recognition of continuing education credits by:
1. The Commission on Accreditation of Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE) or other nationally recognized EMS / Emergency Medical care education/certification organization;
2. A sponsor hospital / or training entity medical director.
3. The VILT renewal programs are CAPCE accredited and meet the didactic renewal requirement. (See your local agency’s medical director for written and skills testing requirements.)
